All our students learn to properly care of their mounts. including nutrition, grooming, ground manners, disease and first aid. We also teach our students about tack and the proper care of equipment. Therefore, the entire hour lesson may not be spent in the saddle.
We start all beginning riders in a Western saddle. We believe this is a safer way to learn the basics than starting in an English saddle.
We then move riders to their chosen discipline based on their skills and abilities as well as the capabilities of their horse or pony.
We do not have lesson horses or ponies available. However, we will assist you in find the right horse. Please see "More Services."
Lessons provided by Suzette Flemming
Are provided at our barn or yours. Suzette has morning, evening and weekend times available. She begins promptly at the agreed upon time. Therefore, arriving late will reduce the length of the lesson. She does not charge for a missed lesson if she is given 24 hours notice.
Suzette requires that all students sign a Release and Hold Harmless agreement before beginning lessons.
All beginning students are required to take five (5) private lessons prior to joining a group session.
